Prayer Request

My blog today is going to be short...well, short for me anyways.

I believe that my title sums it up...I need all of you to pray for my Dad. He will have surgery tomorrow at Methodist University Hospital. Dr. Eason will be removing 70% of his liver. All surgeries have risks...this one has so many. Dr. Eason said this was his only option...so he is going for it.

So I ask you again to please pray that all goes well tomorrow...that it be God's will for it to all work out.

Also...please pray for Amanda Wilson too...she is having baby Wilson #3 tomorrow. Good Luck Amanda and John...I say girl...just because I am optimistic.

My World has been turned upside down....

Let me start by saying that I am the biggest Daddy's Girl in the whole wide world. I love my Daddy....he's my hero. He has always been there for me, no matter what it was. He can do it all...at least in my eyes.

That is why all of this has come as a complete and total shock to me and all the rest of us, for that matter. My Daddy is always doing something. He likes to piddle in his shop and work in the garden. He is always fixing something too. Weather it's his or for someone else. My Dad has never been weak or shown weakness, that I can remember. He has always been our ROCK.

He went to the doctor on May the 3rd because of side pain. He had gotten a job, after being laid off of his other one, and needed to go to work. He thought that he had just hurt his back/side while we were putting down sod at GiGi's house. Andrew had dropped his end of the pallet and Daddy hit the side of the trailer and was jerked down. We all just figured that he had pulled a muscle. When he went to see the FNP, she did some xrays and found a spot on the RL lobe of his lung. She suggested a CT because she feared it was cancer. They drew some labs and told him come back after the CT. His WBC count was very high so they gave him antibiotics. He had the CT done and had an appointment for the results, but they called him in 2 days early because it couldn't wait. I already knew it was bad, but when they said Primary Liver Cancer I about fell out of my chair and so did he and my Mom.

This is a very trying ordeal. For my Dad who has never been sick and for all of us who fear losing him. We have seen a Liver Specialist that has told us that he doesn't believe it can be removed, which is the definitive treatment, and he is not a transplant candidate.

We went to the Oncologist, Dr. Robert Johnson, at the West Clinic yesterday. He says that he wants the surgeon to see him and make a determination about being able to remove it. If it can't be removed then the can give a pill to slow down the growth or possibly inject the tumor and chock off the blood supply. He doesn't like the last option because it can kill healthy tissue, which he doesn't have a lot of.

His tumor is ginormous...per Dr. Johnson. His tumor is inside the liver and is affecting 3 of the 4 lobes. His liver is now from his ribs to his pelvic area and past the sternum. He has been taken off of work because he fears the tumor may rupture and kill him.

I am at a loss of words....I have a very strong faith in God. I know that he has a plan. One that I do not understand, but one that I trust in. I know that in the end it will be God's will. Please pray for peace, comfort and strength for my family Please also pray for guidance for the Doctors and nurses that will be caring for him. I ask that you pray that my Dad will answer the call to his heart the Lord is making and the he will become a Christian.

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2

It lived up...

True Blood season 3 aired last night and it most definitely lived up to my expectations! I am so ready to see the new episode next week that I can hardly contain myself. I am going to try.

I loved this episode...not only because of Eric's naked backside, but because it left you wondering. All of the teaser trailers that I have watched never once let on to what actually happened.

Of course they picked up where they left off with Sookie coming out of the bathroom at the French restaurant and only seeing overturned chairs and signs of a struggle. She tried to report this as a missing person to the Bon Temps police, but they are up to their eyeballs in dead bodies and don't care about Sookie's undead boyfriend. Eric is caught in the act with the new dancer...(this is the naked backside part) as Sookie questions him as to Bill's whereabouts.

They show Tara still holding Egg's hand as they try and put him in the body bag. Arlene is giving her accounts as to what lead up to the shooting and Tara flips out. Lafayette takes Tara to Sookie's and dopes her up. Once Sookies comes home she tells Tara that Eggs came to her begging her to open up his mind and let him know what he had done under Mary Ann's control. Tara then goes nuts again and tackles Sookie. Lafayette then takes Tara to his place.

Eric calls another vampire that he has asked to bring him Bill Compton alive, but has failed. Someone else got to him first. Pam tries to talk Eric into calling the Queen to notify her of Bill going missing. Eric doesn't feel now is the time.

Jessica shows up at home to find Hoyt's roses laying at the front door. She then drags in the truck driver that she has almost drained. She tries to revive him by giving him her blood. Hoyt calls Jessica and they both agree that they miss each other and she hangs up on him. Jessica hopes that by giving the truck driver her blood and him going to ground with her it will change him. She experiences Bill calling her for the first time that night and is upset to find she didn't turn the truck driver.

Bill has been vampire napped by 4 men in his own car. The men have sliver around his neck and are draining him as they drive. They become careless and he overpowers the men wrecking the car and killing them all. Being so weak he goes to ground for the day. When he comes back the next night he stumbles on a house in the woods with only an old women living there. He feeds from her then he erases her memory and gives her money. The lady tells Bill he is in Mississippi.

Lafayette calls Tara's mom Nattie Mae to come and sit with Tara while he is at work. He doesn't trust her to be alone. Nattie Mae calls her preacher over to talk to Tara. After speaking with Tara and receiving an uncomfortable hug the preacher tells Tara goodbye. Tara tells them she going to take a shower, she locks herself in the bathroom and cuts on the shower and never gets in.

Eric gets an unexpected visit from Queen Sofie Ann and the Majesty at Fangtasia. The Majesty tells Eric that V is being sold at such a high rate that they believe that a vampire is behind it. He tells Eric and the Queen that whomever is selling the V will be punished to the full extend. After he leaves Eric lets the Queen know that the only person who know of them selling the V in now missing. The Queen is not worried and tells Eric he must sell all of his V in stock and get her the money ASAP.

Pam pays a visit to Sookie at home, to bring her, her payment from Eric. Sookie sees Pam shiver and asked her what was wrong. Pam explained that Eric was calling her and says she must check in and bolts out the door. Sookie goes to Jessica and tells her what Pam did and asked if Bill had ever done it to her before. Jessica told her she thinks that is what happened last night, she felt sick and felt a place. Sookie demands Jessica take her their. They find Bill's wrecked car and a man inside. He has a symbol on is neck that they find means werewolf.

After visiting Sookie Pam pays Lafayette a visit in the cooler at Merlotte's. She instructs him to all the V by tomorrow night. He tells her he can't and she them reminds him she can rip out his throat if she wants to. He agrees to selling the V.

At the end they show Bill surrounded by werewolves in the woods.....

Such a cliff hanger...lol

OOOOOH how I love my True Blood. We are having a premier party at my house Sunday. Sheri, Wayne and Mindy will be there. I will be making Beef Stroganoff. It will be great! Then on July 12th....I will get to meet Charlaine Harris. She is the brilliant mind behind these wonderful world. It's like Christmas....I can't wait. My sisters and I are going to it. We are going to have a sister's night out. Can't wait...I will keep you posted...

LSU

Let me just start by saying that this picture does the color of this cast NO justice. This cast is neon yellow!! I am not exaggerating. Andrew asked the man if he could do it purple and yellow...for LSU colors. The man, who we are told to call Jr., that put on this cast said that wasn't doable. Josh tried talking Andrew into just putting on the purple, but he declined. I told him I would decorate it when we got home. I know that the LSU isn't the same size, but it's hard writing on that thing. If you can't tell what's underneath the word Tigers, it's claw marks. Just in case you are wondering.

How can a ticket make me giddy?

Here it is people....my ticket. I have it. My ticket to what you ask....read it please. Yes you are correct if you said "The Twilight Saga Eclipse". I love me some Twilight. I just re-read the book again. Obsessed yes, but it's okay, Josh understands.

Okay, back on point about the tickets.

Not only did I buy mine...I bought Mindy and Ashley's too! Ooooh we are sooooo super excited! We are getting our game plan together. In November Me, Mindy and Josh went and saw New Moon at the Malco. We got tickets to the early show because we all had to go to work the next day and I couldn't be out late. Anyways, I did the same thing. I went to the ticket window a couple of weeks before the opening date and purchased our tickets. I did this because I am cheap for one. I refuse to pay an online service charge of $1.25 per ticket when you have to print out a receipt and then go stand at the ticket window to get your "real" ticket. What purpose does it serve to buy online when you still must stand in line at the ticket window? Can someone please answer me that....

Sorry people I get carried away when I am passionate about something.

By doing this, purchasing the ticket early and from the ticket window, we walked right in the theater and only had to wait a few minutes while they cleaned out the trash and we went got really good seats. There were no lines, which was great. Now, when we came out....It was chaos. When we came in the theater we saw all the signs that they had put up saying "Form line here for seating". They had Southaven Police patrolling those lines to get a seat!!!!! The line...it started inside the building passed the concession stand and wrapped around the outside of the building. I guess people got there when our movie started in order to get a seat. Crazy I know, but us Twihards are serious!

This is my wallpaper for my work computer. Yeah...it causes some laughs, questions and some very interesting conversations. I don't need T.A. (Twilighters Anonymous) I don't have a problem.

I know...I know...I'm lacking

LONG EXHALE......okay. Sorry for my lack of posts here lately. Life has yet again found a way to get in the way. It seems like there is not enough time in the day to do what I want or need to do. We have had quite a few things happen here lately that I would love to share with you. I am going to try and play a little catch up again.

As you all know, Andrew broke his arm and we have been going to the doctor weekly since. We now have a yellow cast that I have decorated with LSU Tigers. I will post a pic later. He is scheduled to get the cast off on June 24. He is counting down the days...he is so ready to go swimming that he doesn't know what to do with himself.

****side note**** There will be no pictures with this post. Sorry I don't have any uploaded at this time...remember...life has been in my way.

Josh and I worked all weekend Memorial Day Weekend to build a new shed. That project is complete.....hallelujah!

That project led to another project...cleaning the garage and storeroom and painting them both. Thank goodness that was finished the past weekend. Thanks to hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, and a swimming pool. People love a bribe.

Of course we can't forget about Kalan's softball team. This is our first and more than likely last year coaching. It is not due to the girls or their parents...it's due to lack of organization. It has been horrible, just horrible. That is blog in and of itself all together. We do see a light at the end of the tunnel...next week it will be over with, for us anyway. The last day of the tournament is June 18th. AMEN people AMEN!

My dad has been having some health problems and they found a mass/spot on his lungs. He goes for the CT tomorrow, Friday 6/11. He is scheduled to get the results next Wednesday. Say some prayers. He has smoke the "cowboy killers" for 43 years now. So...yeah...we need a lot of prayers.

I have lost 14lbs as of today since April 15th. I hope that 14lbs in 57days isn't bad. I have 17 more pounds to go to get to my goal weight. Which I am hoping that life will slow down just a bit so Josh and I can increase our walking from 1-2 times a week to 5 times a week. When I walk I feel so much better. We are starting back our yoga. I love yoga. If you have never tried it before please start now! I am being serious. At first Josh didn't want to do it. He thought it was only for women. I was also reluctant. I didn't think that it did that much. I thought that in order for an exercise routine to get you in shape you had to pour sweat and I just knew that downward dog and warrior one wasn't going to make me sweat. WRONG PEOPLE! I am always sore in new areas each time we do it and trust me you sweat. You will be amazed at the muscle groups you are working. It works!!!! Core workouts are the hardest and yoga is the master. Josh likes it because it helps with his lower back, core and flexibility. TRY it...you won't be sorry.

I know...I know...I'm lacking, but I am going to make an effort!
