I know...I know...I'm lacking

LONG EXHALE......okay. Sorry for my lack of posts here lately. Life has yet again found a way to get in the way. It seems like there is not enough time in the day to do what I want or need to do. We have had quite a few things happen here lately that I would love to share with you. I am going to try and play a little catch up again.

As you all know, Andrew broke his arm and we have been going to the doctor weekly since. We now have a yellow cast that I have decorated with LSU Tigers. I will post a pic later. He is scheduled to get the cast off on June 24. He is counting down the days...he is so ready to go swimming that he doesn't know what to do with himself.

****side note**** There will be no pictures with this post. Sorry I don't have any uploaded at this time...remember...life has been in my way.

Josh and I worked all weekend Memorial Day Weekend to build a new shed. That project is complete.....hallelujah!

That project led to another project...cleaning the garage and storeroom and painting them both. Thank goodness that was finished the past weekend. Thanks to hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, and a swimming pool. People love a bribe.

Of course we can't forget about Kalan's softball team. This is our first and more than likely last year coaching. It is not due to the girls or their parents...it's due to lack of organization. It has been horrible, just horrible. That is blog in and of itself all together. We do see a light at the end of the tunnel...next week it will be over with, for us anyway. The last day of the tournament is June 18th. AMEN people AMEN!

My dad has been having some health problems and they found a mass/spot on his lungs. He goes for the CT tomorrow, Friday 6/11. He is scheduled to get the results next Wednesday. Say some prayers. He has smoke the "cowboy killers" for 43 years now. So...yeah...we need a lot of prayers.

I have lost 14lbs as of today since April 15th. I hope that 14lbs in 57days isn't bad. I have 17 more pounds to go to get to my goal weight. Which I am hoping that life will slow down just a bit so Josh and I can increase our walking from 1-2 times a week to 5 times a week. When I walk I feel so much better. We are starting back our yoga. I love yoga. If you have never tried it before please start now! I am being serious. At first Josh didn't want to do it. He thought it was only for women. I was also reluctant. I didn't think that it did that much. I thought that in order for an exercise routine to get you in shape you had to pour sweat and I just knew that downward dog and warrior one wasn't going to make me sweat. WRONG PEOPLE! I am always sore in new areas each time we do it and trust me you sweat. You will be amazed at the muscle groups you are working. It works!!!! Core workouts are the hardest and yoga is the master. Josh likes it because it helps with his lower back, core and flexibility. TRY it...you won't be sorry.

I know...I know...I'm lacking, but I am going to make an effort!

My How Time Flys By!

Thursday May 20, 2010 makes 10 years that Josh and I have been married! It is so hard to believe it! It really doesn't seem like it has been that long to me. I am sure he has his own opinion...lol
Like every marriage, we have had our ups and downs, but without the downs the ups wouldn't look so good!

Here is to another 80 years with you baby, I love you!

I'm Baaaaccckkk!

Hello beautiful world! I am back from my very horrible personal experience with the stomach virus. Don't worry no gross details here. When a grown up says things about bodily functions they are not as cute as when a child with a cute lisp says them.

I returned to work today and it feels great to feel human again! I just wanted to let all of you know that I was back...all three of you that read my bloggity blog. Thanks so much for your dedication!

I am a GROWN woman...

...or at least I think I am. I found myself saying this, to myself last night. I have never been one that likes to be alone at night and yes...I will admit I am a light flicker.

Definition for light flicker: a person that goes through a dark house and flicks on every light that they get remotely close to.

Now that you have the definition we can continue on with my little tale. All the kids had been in the bed for an hour or more and Josh and I decided that we were going to go to sleep too. I forgot to plug in one of my phones (yes I have have 2) and was going to the kitchen to do that and take an empty cup. I opened my bedroom door and quietly shut it, the TV was on and I didn't want Nathan to hear it and wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed. That is why I didn't start flicking on the hall light and bathroom light, it's like Nathan smells a light on and he thinks, oh it's time to get up. Well, as soon as I shut the door and turned into the dark hall my stomach sank to my feet. It was very dark in the front part of the house and my imagination began to run wild (no, it doesn't have to go far). The only thing I could think of was every single scary movie that I had ever seen, all at one time. I didn't move for a few seconds, which felt like an eternity.

Then I began to think of the bogey man. You know the one that is always looking at you through a window or door when it's dark outside and you have a light on and you can't see out of the window, and due to the thought that someone might be outside the window you won't put your face up to glass and cup your hands around your face so you can see past the light because you are scared the bogey man will reach up and pull you outside. Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of, along with Freddy, Jason, Michael, and a Scrunt (the thing from Lady in the Water).

What do I have waiting for me in the kitchen? Only a valence above my kitchen window and sliding glass patio doors. I began to think really hard about the blinds on the patio door. Did I shut them? Did Josh shut them? Josh never shuts them, he always pulls them down but never closes them. Just great here I am in the dark hall trying my best to keep it together until I get in the kitchen and can flick on a light. By this time my pulse is racing and small amounts of sweat are popping out on my body. The whole time I hear the theme music to Halloween playing in my head, and the thought that their was a scrunt behind me in the dark didn't help either.

Right before I reach the end of the hallway I tell myself, "I am a grown woman, none of those things exist, pull it together!" I run to the kitchen and flick on every single light I can get to. I compose myself, do my business, checking over my shoulder briefly just to make sure the bogey man isn't looking. Once I am finished I flick the last light off and race down the hall as quickly and quietly as I can.

I walk in the room and act as though nothing ever happened.
